Northwest of Dubrovnik lies the Elaphiti archipelago, a group of islands that encapsulates the essence of the Adriatic: sun, sea, stone, and simplicity. Of the 13 islands, Koločep, Lopud, and Šipan are the three inhabited gems we visit on our 4-hour private tour.
Koločep, or “Kalamota” as locals call it, is the closest island to Dubrovnik. It’s completely car-free and covered in dense pine forests. Small fishing villages and turquoise coves make it ideal for a short swim or quiet escape. Hidden caves accessible only by boat add a touch of adventure.
Lopud is famous for Šunj Beach, one of the rare sandy beaches in southern Croatia. The island has a rich history as a retreat for Dubrovnik’s aristocracy, with ruins of old summer villas and monasteries scattered around. Its palm-lined promenade and gentle hills invite slow walks and seaside relaxation.
The largest of the Elaphiti islands, Šipan is known for its olive oil, vineyards, and historical stone homes. Once home to many sea captains and noble families, today Šipan retains its authentic Dalmatian rhythm – quiet, proud, and full of charm.
Our Elaphiti Islands tour offers a deeply local and personalized experience. You’ll cruise between islands, swim in secluded bays, and stop at small harbors depending on your interests and conditions at sea. Unlike crowded group tours, this journey is all about flexibility, comfort, and authenticity.
Your skipper knows every hidden beach and quiet inlet – he’ll guide you through waters he’s known all his life, sharing stories that don’t appear in any guidebook.
